MEET S.W. BAYLIS

S.W. Baylis is a contemporary romance author and storyteller who believes some of the most meaningful love stories begin when people discover that the lives they've carefully built still have room for something unexpected.

Originally from Houston, Texas, Baylis earned a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations with a minor in Marketing from the University of Houston. She spent 26 years in government service, working in sales, marketing, and international affairs. Her professional journey took her from Houston to Dallas and the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, while her international experiences included travel to more than ten countries.

Along the way, she developed an appreciation for the ways people communicate, navigate different environments, and form meaningful connections. Those observations continue to influence the characters and relationships at the heart of her fiction.

Baylis writes about accomplished individuals with responsibilities, ambitions, personal histories, and emotional complexities. Her characters may be confident in their careers and capable of managing difficult situations, yet love challenges them to confront questions that professional success cannot always answer.

Through novels such as Reviving Us, Table for Two Next Time, and Love in the Line of Fire, she explores second chances, unexpected connections, emotional vulnerability, and the courage it takes to build relationships grounded in trust.

Beyond her novels, Baylis created the TEXAS PROFESSIONAL UNIVERSE (the collective series of her novels) and Texas Professional Romance (a YouTube storytelling platform featuring thoughtful conversations about romance, relationships, travel, and the emotional moments that make stories memorable.)

At the center of her work is a simple belief: meaningful love does not require people to abandon who they are. Sometimes, the right relationship allows them to become more fully themselves.

Baylis resides in San Antonio, Texas, with her husband of twenty years and their family.
